Introduction and Story:
The worm is on the hook and the lure has just been cast off. The bait is set and now the creepy and greedy fisherman is waiting for dumb fish to bite. Back to the Future the video game may be based on the mega hit 1985 movie starring Michael J. Fox but you wouldn't know it after playing through a few seconds of this piece of crap here.

The story is about a young man named Marty McFly that accidentally travels back in time to the 1950's. Ah, the 1950's: a time when television was a luxury item, video games didn't exist yet, racism was more socially acceptable, and gas was actually affordable. Although Marty is technically still at his home town he still needs to get back to the present and try not to change the past so it effects the future and all that junk. You have to act fast before you and other members of your family cease to exist all together
Controls and Game Play:
Before you get too excited about the story though this so called game is a very annoying forced scrolling semi-action title that comes with some overly confusing and boring game play. For example to continue playing through this crap I have to collect clocks, avoid girls in stupid hoop things and throw drinks at the local tough guys to survive here. Are you kidding me here? This sucks!

Marty can actually move around up, down, right, and left OK but that doesn't mean the game controls well.
You have the ability to jump in the game here but it doesn't do too much since you don't really go up very high so you can't go over too much. Also the skateboard power up makes you go too fast and it does more harm then good.
Graphics and Sounds:

I think it is very ironic that you are traveling back in time in the game here because the actual graphics look like they belong in the 1950's. I seen too many boring gray roads and green bushes for my liking and there is barely any basic shading and lighting effects here either. Would it had killed them to hire a few artists here? I guess they spend all their money to getting this stupid license in the first place. One of the movie's strongest points was how visually stunning it was but other then the title screen where it says the name this game has little to do with the hit film and it just looks like something completely different. The movie also had a lot cool music in the background from bands like Hewy Lewis and the News and many more that's not in this game. All you get here is just one constant, annoying, and super terrible single soundtrack that will cause any people in the area to throw things at you (and rightfully so).
The Bottomline:
The bottomline is: I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS GAME! Back to the Future comes with poor level design, very plain graphics, bad power ups and you even get a terrible and highly repetitive sound track to go with it. This may not be as bad as Atari E.T. but its still another lousy movie video game that should have never been released in the first place. "I wish I could go back in time and destroy the evil LJN!"
